Lucky Horseshoe!Reining

  • American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) patterns will be used for all classes.
  • Proper Western attire must be worn during the competition including cowboy hat, cowboy boots, long sleeve button up shirts and denim jeans.
  • If a rider rides more than one horse in a class, wherever possible, there will be a spread of at least eight horses between his/her runs.
  • All non pro reining competitors will be asked to sign a Non Pro Declaration at the Canadian Supreme show office.
  • AQHA Rules for Reining, Section #451 in the AQHA Official Handbook will be followed. Any discrepancies will be dealt with by Canadian Supreme show management and all show management decisions are final.

  • All reining classes are one handed except for the 3 year olds classes (CS Open and Non Pro Reining Futurities, Open & Ltd. Open Reining - 3 year olds, and Non Pro Reining - 3 year olds).
  • Canadian Supreme earnings in the limit classes are as of December 31, 2009. Limited open classes are intended for riders with limited earnings. If you do not have Canadian Supreme earnings the Canadian Supreme show management will review lifetime earnings and decide eligibilty.

  • A limited number of private paid warm-ups are available to reining competitors on Thursday PM and Friday AM. Get your entries in early, 120 paid warm-up slots will be available on a first entries received basis. A maximum of two paid warm-ups per horse. Times will be scheduled by show personnel. The paid warm-up schedule will be posted on the website by Monday, September 20, 2010. You are responsible for making sure you are there at your scheduled time.
  • Cross Entries will pay the full office fee for the first class entered and 50% of the office fee for each additional class.
